The U.S. Embassy in Abuja is seeking to employ a suitable and qualified candidate for the position of Human Resources Assistant in the Human Resources Office (HRO). BASIC FUNCTION OF THE POSITION:
Incumbent assists with local employee recruitment and also assists with the provision of employee services to serviced sections and agencies. He/she assists with training and presentation to larger audiences comprising of both local hires and American supervisors.

This is to inform those who applied for Nigerian Army Short Service Combatant (SSC) and took part in the screening test that the list of candidates shortlisted for SSC selection interview is out.
The Nigeria Army Short Service Combatant SSC selection interview is scheduled to hold at NDA Kaduna (Old Site) from 4-17 September 2011.
General Instructions to Candidates:
  1. Candidates are required to report on 4th September 2011 for the interview with the following:
  • Writing materials including ruler and eraser.
  • 2 pairs of white vests (unmarked)
  • 2 pairs of navy blue shorts.
  • Canvas shoes/trainers and white socks.

NIGERIAN ARMY DIRECT SHORT SERVICE COMMISSION SELECTION BOARD 2011
This is to inform those who applied for Nigerian Army Direct Short Service Commission (DSSC) and took part in the screening test that the list of candidates shortlisted for DSSC selection interview is out.
The Nigeria Army Direct Short Service Commission DSSC selection interview is scheduled to hold at Headquarters 82 Division Nigerian Army Enugu from 4-17 September 2011.
All  Instructions to Candidates:
  1. Candidates are required to report on 4th September 2011 for the interview with the following:
  • Writing materials including ruler and eraser.
  • 2 pairs of white vests (unmarked)
  • 2 pairs of navy blue shorts.
  • Canvas shoes/trainers and white socks.
  • Toiletries.
  • Set of cutleries (including plates and drinking cup)
  • Bedding to include blankets, white bedspread and pillow case.
  • Candidates are to bring their current medical report including ECG from any government certified hospital.
  • Four (4) copies of full size colour photographs in standing position and in suit.
2.   The selection board will involve physical, medical and academic test. There will   also be an oral interview for the candidates
3.   Candidates will be required to produce original and photocopies of the following:
a)      All academic/professional certificates (including degree/HND, WASC/GCE or equivalent, testimonials, NYSC Discharge or valid Exemption Certificate as applicable, Primary School Leaving Certificates as applicable and a file jacket).
b)      Valid birth certificate as endorsed by the National population Commission, hospital, Local Government Council of birth or valid age declaration.
c)      Valid certificate of state of origin.
d)      Military Official Identity Card (for Service Personnel).
e)      Letter of recommendation by the commanding officer for military personnel.
f)        Letter of sponsorship for military personnel.
4.  Candidates will be fed and accommodated for the duration of the interview.
5.  Candidates will be responsible for their transportation to and from the interview venue.
6. The use of private vehicle will not be allowed throughout the duration of the interview.
7.   Visitors will not be allowed throughout the duration of the interview
8.   Candidates will report at NDA (Old Site) Kaduna on 4th September 2011. Candidates will be received from 9am. Candidates who arrive later than 6pm of 4th September2011 may be disqualified
The Nigerian Army shall not be liable for any injuries arising or sustained in the course of the selection interview.

Procedure for Online Application

All such candidates Must upload their coloured passport photograph and scanned copies of all relevant certificates/documents to the portal.

Candidates should preview and confirm that the passport photograph is properly uploaded as no complaint of wrong or blank picture will be entertained after submission of forms. Candidates are to print out a copy of the application form with their passport photograph for presentation along with other documents on the screening dates stated above.

All candidates are to come to the venue of the screening exercise with the following:

  1. UTME e-registration slip and UTME result slip

The manual screening exercise for Direct Entry (DE) candidates is scheduled to place from Tuesday, 13th September, to Friday, 16th September, 2011 from 9.00 am each day.

All Direct Entry candidates should also obtain the eTranzact PIN (payment Voucher) for Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma at a fee of Two thousand Naira (N2,000.00) only from any of the designated Banks and follow the procedure for online application as stated above.

NOTE: All candidates (both UTME and Direct Entry) are to note that;
 
  1. Technology fee and bank charges, which the University cannot control, will be charged at the point of purchase of the eTranzact PIN (Payment Voucher). There would be no admission into the Department of Medicine and Surgery for the 2011/2012 session.
  2. In view of (2) above, Candidates who had earlier applied for Medicine and Surgery should indicate their most preferred alternative choice of course on the Post-UTME online application form.
  3. All names should be written in full when completing the online application form as no initials shall be entertained.

Functions
Plan, develop and implement strategy for HR, including recruitment policies, quality procedures, discipline, grievance counseling and payroll administration.
Conduct induction and orientation of new employees

JOB TITLE: CUSTOMER SERVICES OFFICER
 
JOB OBJECTIVE:
To support the achievement of country plan objectives in Abuja and all Nigeria by delivering customer services. To maintain them at the highest professional standards as set out in the British Council's EQS (Examination Quality Standards) and by the IELTS Partners.
 
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 
- Front desk, visitors, phone and email enquiries
- Collect payments, issue receipts and balance reconciliations on the system
- Handle comments, complaints and feedback
- Support the Exams Team in the delivery of exams, workshops, seminars
 
ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE 
- Experience in dealing with customers and enquiries in a service environment.
- Microsoft Office and Excel
