CHIEF OF PARTY

In Nigeria, Deloitte is currently looking for a Chief of Party (CoP) for an anticipated USAID project in trade and transport. The CoP will help ensure the project’s success and serve as the primary liaison with USAID/Nigeria as well as Government of Nigeria and other partners. This position will be responsible for the program achieving target results, and will identify issues and risks related to program implementation in a timely manner and suggest appropriate technical program adjustments.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide overall management, strategic direction, and financial oversight for project, and represent the project and Deloitte Consulting, LLP to all key stakeholders
Provide technical expertise and leadership in organizational development
Supervise and support the development of technical and administrative staff, and oversee sub-contractor relationships.

Monitor progress towards project objectives, prepare annual work plans and other deliverables to USAID as required, and ensure overall project compliance with USAID and Deloitte regulations

QUALIFICATIONS
A Masters Degree in economics, marketing, or trade
Minimum of 15 years experience working on trade issues in developing countries, of which at least 5 years should be in Africa
Excellent communication skills, overseas development experience and a thorough understanding of trade issues in West Africa and particular in Nigeria
