Job Description
Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for the role of Cost Control Manager in our organization.
The primary objective of the position is to analyze ERN, and Work Process / Procedure, in consideration for recommendation to the User department’s VP’s Approval/Disapproval, using appropriate “Justification Tools” such as: Historic Consumption Report, Alternate Option Review and Department’s Weekly Forecast Plan.
The principal responsibilities for this position are as stated below:
• Analyze all ERN, in line with the company needs, availability of resources as would be directed by
SVP/VP – FINANCE/TREASURY.
• Allocate serial numbers to approved ERN.
• Liaise with departmental heads in order to prepare weekly /monthly Reoccurring / Capital expenditure forecasts and to update on actual previous expenditure.
• Liaise with Finance dept in the reconciliation between fixed asset module, register and general ledger.
• Own and review process for capital and non capital expenditure requests.
• Monitor fuel consumption controls via log books.
• Own and manage data base for all transactions and scheduling of payments.
• Monitor and reconcile all store stock to accounting records to ensure completeness and accuracy of company stock evaluation.
• Other responsibilities as could be assigned by the hierarchy.
Job Requirements
Essential Qualifications and Experience
• 1st degree in relevant discipline
• 3 years post graduation experience in Financial / Commercial function is essential
• Possession of Financial / Commercial Professional Qualifications would be an advantage
• Sound knowledge of financial/commercial system (ERP)
• Candidate should not be more than 38 years of age as at last birthday
• Very good I.T reporting knowledge and skills
• Background in Technical areas may be useful
• Candidate should be energetic and ready to work with different teams
